Anna Louise (Guerrero) Gussman
Celebrating the Life of Anna Louise (Guerrero) Gussman aka MeMe, Ms. Anna, Aunt Louise or Ouisie to those who knew her well.
With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the beautiful life of our mom, who passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend whose love knew no limits.
Although Alzheimer’s may have taken away some of her memory, she never forgot how to be kind, caring and compassionate. MeMe had a way of making every person feel like family. She never met a stranger—just a new friend. Her smile could light up a room, her hugs could mend a heart, and her generosity touched countless lives. She gave without ever keeping count and loved without condition.
As a mother, she embodied selfless love. She sacrificed without complaint, cared without condition, and always put others before herself. Her family was her greatest joy, and she gave them the gift of unwavering support and love. She lived not for recognition or reward, but for the joy and well-being of her family. Her sacrifices were many, always placing her family’s needs before her own with a quiet strength that inspired everyone around her.
Beyond her home, she was a quiet hero to many. Whether offering a helping hand, especially babysitting for family and friends, sharing a warm smile, or simply listening with compassion, she made the world brighter everywhere she went. MeMe was always a hard worker, recently we asked what she had done that day, her reply was “oh, I just worked”, we told her it was time to retire, and her response was, “no, I like working”.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and joy. To know her was to feel seen, safe, and deeply loved. She had a way of making people feel like they mattered—because to her, they truly did. Though we will miss her deeply, we choose to honor her life not with sorrow, but with gratitude. To keep her spirit alive, we encourage everyone to carry forward her example: greet strangers with warmth, love generously, and never hesitate to share your smile.
She is survived by her children, Christine Haynes and her husband, Jason; her son, Sal Guerrero and his wife, Marilyn; her daughter, Misty Rivera and her husband, Jason; her grandchildren, Chaney Nguyen and husband, Kyle; Jaxson Haynes and girlfriend, Natalie; Tabitha Primrose and her girlfriend, Brittney; Sterling Guerrero; Jordan Guerrero; Mason Rivera; and Xander Rivera; and great-grandchildren, Bennett and Olive.
MeMe’s family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Brookdale Dowlen Oaks–Claire Bridge and Doctors Choice Hospice, for their care, compassion and kindness shown to our mom. “Miss Anna” as they referred to her, thought of them as family and never hesitated to hug them or call them “my girls”. Thank you all.

I had the pleasure of meeting Anna at Brookdale, since my father was there also. She was just lovely and I always enjoyed talking with her when I was there. I am so sorry for your loss.
