Annie Ruth Calmia
Annie Ruth Calmia born March 11, 1928, in Silsbee, Texas, passed away on January 24, 2022, in Beaumont. She retired from Beaumont Independent School District.
She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 70 years, Charles Calmia; her parents; and her siblings.
Survivors include her son, Gary Calmia and his wife, Kathy, of Irving, Texas; daughter, Nancy Brannon and her husband, Kenneth, of Houston; grandchildren, Chris Brannon of East Aurora, New York, and Malina Pearson and Ricky Pearson, both of Dallas, Texas; great-granddaughters, Maggie and Lily Brannon of East Aurora, New York; and several nephews and one niece.
Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Amelia Baptist Church, 8055 Brighton, Beaumont, Texas 77707.
Sorry for the family’s loss. Annie Ruth and Buddy were great friends of my parents. What a group of friends they had. They are missed.
Dear Nancy and family, so sorry for the loss of your Mom. Mothers are special people and I know you will miss her. Our thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family at this time.
Bill and I were saddened to learn of your loss. She was such a wonderful women and so full of life. She will be greatly missed but you will always have your memories.
