Annie Ruth Calmia

March 11, 1928 - January 24, 2022

Annie Ruth Calmia born March 11, 1928, in Silsbee, Texas, passed away on January 24, 2022, in Beaumont. She retired from Beaumont Independent School District.

She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 70 years, Charles Calmia; her parents; and her siblings.

Survivors include her son, Gary Calmia and his wife, Kathy, of Irving, Texas; daughter, Nancy Brannon and her husband, Kenneth, of Houston; grandchildren, Chris Brannon of East Aurora, New York, and Malina Pearson and Ricky Pearson, both of Dallas, Texas; great-granddaughters, Maggie and Lily Brannon of East Aurora, New York; and several nephews and one niece.

Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Amelia Baptist Church, 8055 Brighton, Beaumont, Texas 77707.
