Arnold Dewayne Gill

Arnold Dewayne Gill, 76, of Buna, died Monday, July 17, 2023. He was born on November 14, 1946, in Starks, Louisiana, to Janie Perkins Gill and Johnny Gill. Arnold worked for BNSF railroad for 39 years and then went to work for ECONOrail for 17 years before he retired.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Gill; children, Burton Gill and his wife, Jamie, of Silsbee; and Aaron Gill and his wife, Valerie, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Chad Gill and his wife, Ashlee, of Buna; Dalton Gill and his wife, Maycie, of Silsbee; Dylan Gill; Carly Gill; Anthony Gill, Jr.; Dakota Gill; Chase Gill; Angel Gill; Daylon Gill; Keeslyn Graham; Braydon Gill; Kaylee Gill; Ryan Graham; Travis Gill; Aarolyn Gill; five great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Patenaude of Connecticut; brother Reverend John Harris and his wife, Jerrie, of Arlington. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Anthony Gill; and sister, Dorothy Lou Tillman.

A gathering of Mr. Gill’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 24, 2023, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Antioch Cemetery, Buna.
