Ashley Marie Tucker

September 6, 1985 - December 14, 2025

Ashley Marie Tucker, 40, of Silsbee, died Sunday, December 14, 2025. She was born on September 6, 1985, in Beaumont, to Mary Ann Bower Tucker and Russell Dean Tucker.

Survivors include her daughter, Lilah Patterson of Silsbee; her parents, Mary Ann and Russell Tucker of Silsbee; her sister, Amanda Tucker Smith of Silsbee; and her niece, Maggie Belle Smith of Silsbee.

Ashley was known for her warm smile, joyful energy, and generous heart. She had a natural way of making people feel seen and welcomed, whether she was visiting with family, talking with friends, or connecting with customers at Schlotzsky’s in Lumberton, where she faithfully worked for several years and truly enjoyed serving others.

She could be the life of the party or the one to quietly give you the shirt off her back. An avid reader with a deep fascination for the Titanic, Ashley also had a lifelong love of movies. In high school, she worked at the historic Pines Theater in Silsbee, a place woven deeply into her family’s memories. Long before either daughter became part of its long lineage of employees, the Pines was where Ashley spent many evenings with her parents and grandfather, making memories that stayed with her.

Ashley loved all things movies—from Grease and Dirty Dancing to horror films from every generation, and timeless tearjerkers like Beaches and Steel Magnolias. Her grandfather often joked that Ashley could remember every song lyric or line from a movie, even if spelling words never quite stuck with her—a reflection of her joyful spirit and love for storytelling.

Ashley had a special love for animals and was never without a deeply loved and well-cared-for dog or cat at every stage of her life. Her pets were truly part of her family.

She cherished her time growing up with her grandparents and held those years close to her heart. Some of her favorite memories were family trips to San Antonio and Branson, Missouri, traveling together, laughing often, and enjoying time with the people she loved most. Once Ashley began driving, her Pawpal Warren quickly claimed her as his personal chauffeur. If you were looking for one of them, you usually needed to look for the other—there was never any telling what kind of trouble they might be getting into together or what good food they were off enjoying. Their bond was full of laughter, shared adventures, and deep affection.

Her greatest joy was her family—especially her daughter, Lilah, and her niece, Maggie. She treasured simple moments with her girls, particularly cozy nights spent watching Christmas movies together, laughing, and just being close.

Ashley’s life reflected both struggle and grace, but through it all, she continued moving forward, held and guided by the Lord. In recent years, she worked hard to build a steady, meaningful life, rededicating herself to her family and to the Lord, and finding purpose in everyday routines, relationships, and simple joys.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary Grace and Warren Bower, and her paternal grandparents, Esther and Ben Tucker. She shared a special bond with her Pawpal Warren, and we know she is joyfully catching him up on all the family news.

A gathering of Ashley’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her interment will follow at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery, South 3rd Street, Silsbee.

I can still remember that little smiling face looking up at me in our 5th grade classroom. Ashley was like a little sponge soaking up every book or story we read, history lessons taught, or hands on activities. She loved being able to sit in the rocker on my wooden front porch & read. Ashley was a friend & protector to all. We still stayed in touch after all these years. She will always be one of mine. I will miss her. ♥️
