Barbara Bistline Coffin, 75, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Christus Southeast Texas-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on March 16, 1949, to Mary Helen Donalson Bistline and Ralph Eugene Bistline, in Beaumont.

Barbara grew up in Beaumont and graduated from French High School in 1967.  She had a love of baking that she learned from her mother.  Many can attest that she made the best pies in town.  Barbara was also very artistic, having painted numerous paintings, Christmas tree decorations as well as wall art.  She married her love, Mark Coffin.  They were married for 24 years.  Barbara and Mark lived in Colorado for many years before moving back to Beaumont to assist her mother.  Before moving to Colorado, Barbara was the Building Manager for the Petroleum Tower in downtown Beaumont.  Barbara was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved her children and grandchildren very much.

One of her special joys was the holidays.  She loved to decorate the inside and outside of the house with all the lights and glitter that represented the holiday. Barbara had many flowering plants around her house to make things bright and beautiful.  She loved to show her beautifully decorated house to everyone.  Her special joy of life and energy will be missed by all, especially her family.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Coffin; children, Scott Howe and his wife, Laura, of Pearland and Lisa Kelly and her husband, Tyler, of Dallas; grandchildren, Cameron Howe, Jillian Howe, Brandon Howe, Lyla Kelly, and Brooks Kelly; siblings, Ralph Bistline, Beverly Stewart, Russell Bistline, and Dale Bistline; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Nan Bistline.
