Barbara Lee Tucker

Barbara Lee Tucker, 86, of Sour Lake, died Sunday, November 21, 2021.  She was born on January 4, 1935, to Maurine Wilson Bartell and Sam Bartell.

Mrs. Tucker retired as a clerk for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3, Hardin County, after many years of service.  She was very active in her church, especially in the nursery.  Her boys and her grandchildren were her life, and she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and nana.

Survivors include her sons, Mike Tucker and his wife, Carla, of Lumberton and Matthew Tucker of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Tucker, Kevin Tucker, Kaleb Tucker, and Zachary Singletary; brother, Bob Bartell of Boerne; sister, Charlotte Thomas of Henderson, Nevada; brother-in-law, Milburn Tucker of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of forty-eight years, Sonny Tucker; brother, Jack Bartell; and sister, Evelyn Bartell.

A gathering of Mrs. Tucker’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 26, 2021, at First Baptist Church, 765 6^th Street, Sour Lake, under the direction of Broussard’s, Silsbee.
