Barbara Nickelbur

Barbara Nickelbur, 76, of Honey Island, died Wednesday, October 19, 2022. She was born on September 29, 1946, in Cleveland, to Opal Elizabeth Lilley Alexander and William Riley Alexander.

Survivors include her children, Beth Chance and her husband, Skipper and Delain Key and her husband, Kelly, all of Honey Island; grandchildren, Anthony Miller and Nelain Cain and her husband, James, all of Honey Island; Phillip Key and his wife, Valerie, of Beaumont; Travis Key and his wife, Kayla, of Orange; Brianna Chance and her fiancé, Tristan Maleno, of Vidor; Hunter Nickelbur of Spurger; and Kieghanna Chance of Honey Island; twelve great-grandchildren; and sister, Ludie Hoke and her husband, Tim, of Silsbee. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester D. Nickelbur, Sr; son, Lester D. Nickelbur “Boy”,  Jr.; and brother, William Riley “WR” Alexander, Jr.

A gathering of Mrs. Nickelbur’s family and friends will from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her graveside will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Jordan Cemetery, Honey Island.
