Barbara Rieger

December 4, 1945 - September 30, 2021

Barbara Kay Rieger, 75, of Lumberton, died Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Christus Southeast Hospitals – St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born December 4, 1945, in Atoka, Oklahoma, to Dollie Irene Withrow and David Bruce Rieger.

Barbara was a loving and caring Mother, Granny, and Aunt. She had a feisty spirit, and was stubborn to no end. She was very compassionate and loved with her whole heart. She was a devout Christian that would share the Gospel with anyone that would listen. Barbara was a great listener and always had great advice. She will truly be missed.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Ann Miller of Beaumont; grandchildren, Elizabeth Walther and her husband, Mitch, of Ohio; Joell Pruitt and her husband, Justin, of Oklahoma; Tiffanie Trevino and her husband, Chris, of Nederland; Jordan Rieger of San Marcos; and Michaela Rieger of Belton; great-grandchildren, Stacy Pruitt of Oklahoma; and Abigail Trevino on the way of Nederland; brother, Eugene Rieger and his wife, Sylvia, of Mississippi; Terry Rieger and his wife, Glenda, of Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Dollie Rieger; sisters, Doris McCormick and Linda Rieger; and son, Stacy Rieger.

Her funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
