Benedict John Kubecka

Benedict John Kubecka, 79, of Colmesneil, died Saturday, May 28, 2022. He was born on March 28, 1943, in Plum, to Genovefa Kovar and Edward Kubecka.

Benny was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed the slow quiet life at home in Colmesneil. Feeding and watching the deer in his yard, tinkering on different mechanic projects and gardening are just a few things he liked to do. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-three years, Mary Kubecka; children, Belinda Henderson and her husband, Bruce; Cynthia Smith and her husband, Matthew; Steve Cox and his wife, Ladona; and Melissa Poskey and her husband, Lee; grandchildren, Brittany Henderson; Bryce Henderson; Austin Smith; Lesleigh Thomas; Nikki Richter; Carre Cox; Heather Williford; Brandon Williford; ten great-grandchildren; siblings, Gene Kubecka and Anthony Kubecka.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Angela Vasek, Edward Kubecka, Richard Kubecka.

A graveside service for Mr. Kubecka will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Rosedale Cemetery, 505 Old Beaumont Road, Sour Lake, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
