It was my privilege and honor to have known such a Great man. I took care of him at Silsbee Convalescent/MillCreek. He had such a marvelous spirit about him. Always smiling, laughing and cracking jokes. RIP Dear Sweet Benny.

Benny and Hazel were a large part of my life growing up in the fireworks business and him and my father being friends. I will always hold a special place in my heart for them both. I am sorry I was unable to make the service today to pay my respects. He was an amazing man and did so much for the world of fireworks.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Gardmer at his home about 3years ago when i started live with joe. I was the one that had the pleasure of taking care of him for a while we would go to doctors appointment and the hospital alot but we would always have long talks and story time on them long night to the hospital. I would not have changed none of the time i got to spend with him. He was a good man. I surely will miss him dearly. Rest in peasce Mr Gardner

So sorry to hear of Benny’s passing. He was a great man and a good friend! His contributions to not only our community, but the entire state of Texas will never be forgotten! He will be missed by all. I know that he’s happy now walking with Hazel on those golden streets. My prayers are with the family as you deal with your loss. If I can be of assistance please call. Gary has my number.

When I worked at one of the Silsbee nursing homes, I spoke to Mr. Gardner about fireworks for July 4th for the residents and families. He told me if I raised a certain amount, he would match it. I did and he did. Silsbee VFD handled lighting the fireworks. It was amazing for the residents and all that were present.

Rest in peace Sir. Prayers of comfort for his family. God received an angel!!
