Bessie Mae Proctor Trahan

Bessie Mae Proctor Trahan, 90, of Saratoga, died Saturday, September 28, 2024.  She was born on July 13, 1934, to Judine Dempsey Proctor and Pete Proctor in Livingston.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Trahan and his wife, Laura, of Orange; grandchildren, Christy Martin and her husband, Nelton, of Silsbee; Candice Bodin and her husband, Mike, of Bridge City; and Jennifer Little and her husband, Justin, of Saint Amant, Louisiana; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Connor and her husband, Cody, of Evadale; Tyler Martin and his wife, Kamille; and Dakota Gordan and his wife, Taylor, of Liberty; fourteen great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Lanora Lee, of Sour Lake; Shirley Fergison; and Joe David Taylor.

She is preceded in death by her husband, WV Trahan; parents, Judine and Pete Proctor; son, Willie Virgil Trahan, Jr.; daughter, Bobbie Nugent Wilkerson; and granddaughter, Bobbi Jo Nugent Gordan.

Mrs. Trahan’s cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2024, at First Baptist Church, 7474 Birch Dr, Saratoga.
