Beth Anne Mistrot
Beth Anne Mistrot, 94, of Pensacola, Florida, died Monday, August 11, 2025. She was born on March 13, 1951, in Beaumont, to Minnie Goode and Ellswerth Sperling.
Beth Anne lived an extraordinary life. She was a teacher, an artist, a seamstress, a traveler.
As a teacher, she taught every grade from pre-school to 12th grade. She taught office duplicating to special ed students at South Park High. She taught pregnant girls at a special school. She taught at Hebert High School. As a home bound teacher, she taught any and every subject that the student was taking when they went to regular school. She taught French and auto mechanics. The auto mechanics teacher at Forest Park made her watch the class rebuild a carburetor.
As an artist, she drew and designed a good portion of her High School yearbook. She painted landscapes.
As a seamstress. She hemmed, made dresses, baby clothes, blankets and shirts. When Hawaiian shirts became popular, she used a pajama shirt pattern to make them. She knew crocheting, paper mache. She loved to knit. She joined the KnitWits group at St. Anthonys Presbyterian Church.
A world traveler. During her teaching days, being off during summer for 3 months, Beth Anne and Jack traveled taking Bobby and Dan to almost every state in the nation. They would camp out in parks. They started out in a Rambler station wagon, tent, then a tent camper, a travel trailer and then an RV. Never hotels. After retirement, they saw the world!
Beth Anne disliked (hated) fireworks & loud noises. She didn’t know a lot about music, but she loved to dance. Jack and Beth Anne would go to the local dance halls. They would go early to the establishment before crowds came in so they could have the whole dance floor to themselves. Then they would leave before the crowd came.
The most important thing to Beth Anne was her family. She loved her family and was always a bright star in their lives!

Beth Anne was a beloved and valued member of Golden Triangle RSVP volunteering with many of our partner organizations. She was a member of Golden Triangle RSVP for 26 1/2 years, I know she will be missed. Prayers to her family.
Beth Anne and I been close friends since our college days. Although I am in Indiana, we continued to stay in contact over the phone. I will miss our long conversations. My condolences to Bobby and Dan and the rest of her family.
I’m going to miss my Aunt Bethanne who was an amazing, loving aunt to me. She was an example of someone who loved life and was always thankful for the blessings the Lord brought her each and every day. I aspire to live a life of gratitude like my Aunt Bethanne. I’m looking forward to that time in heaven when we can “swap” stories of all the marvelous things the Lord has done.
