Betty J. Hebert
Betty J. Hebert, 79, of Vidor, died Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital after a long, hard-fought battle with a rare form of Parkinsons Disease (PSP). She was born July 12, 1946, in Unionville Missouri to Edna Mae Anderson Bice and Robert Bice.
Betty lived a life full of love, sometimes tough love, but love nonetheless. She would give you the shirt off her back and was always willing to help. She pursued different careers throughout her life such as bookkeeper, tire store manager and in the end nursing. She loved helping others.
Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother sister and aunt. She loved her family and would do anything for her children. She continued that love into being a grandmother. Betty was always at any event her children, and in later years grandchildren, were involved in. She was our biggest supporter and defender all in one. She was the one you would call for advice. She would tell you if what you were doing was not very smart, but she would then tell you how to fix it. If you knew her, you understand.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry E. Hebert, sister Ellen J. Parigi and brothers, Robert Bice and Jerry Anderson, sister-in-law Norma Kirkland and brother-in-law Homer Howe.
She is survived by her children, Debra Felps and her husband Carl, of Nederland, and Brian Hebert and his wife Teri of Lumberton; grandchildren Joshua Hebert, and Ali Hebert and her husband Josh of Lumberton; sister-in-law, Linda Howe, brothers-in-law Louis Hebert and Joe Hebert. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews that she loved and cherished.
Betty also built many friendships in the last few years through her many hospital stays, rehabilitation stays and her final home at Dowlen Oaks in Beaumont, Texas. We wish to thank the staff at Brookdale Dowlen Oaks for loving our mother and treating her as wonderfully as each of you did. You made her final year a happy one.
Memorial contributions for Mrs. Hebert may be made to Humane Society of Southeast Texas, 2050 Spindletop Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77705.
