Betty Jean Cleveland

Betty Jean Cleveland, 93, of Lumberton, died Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Village Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation, Lumberton. She was born on June 28, 1928, to Leota Hodge Lytle and Russell Lytle, in Coweta, Oklahoma.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Kimberly Grant and her husband, George, of La Marque; Mark Brown and his wife, Tina Prewitt-Brown, of Huffman; Richard Sandusky and his wife, Amy, of Broussard, Louisiana; and Taylor Driggers of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Lloyd Ranken and his wife, Lauren, of Spring; Heston Ranken and his wife, Kelsey, of Texas City; Jensen Grant and Joshua Grant, both of LaMarque; Ryan Hawk of Houston; Tyler Brown of Webster; Cameron Brown and his wife, Shelby, of Santa Fe, Texas; and Bronson Sandusky; Leighton Sandusky; and Karson Sandusky, all of Broussard, Louisiana; and great-great-grandson, Greyson Grant.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Cleveland; sons, Stephen Sandusky and Dwight Sandusky; brother, David Lytle; great-grandson, Shane Hawk; and great-great-grandson, Heston Rankin, Jr.

A gathering of Mrs. Cleveland’s family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A burial of Mrs. Cleveland and Mr. Cleveland’s cremated bodies will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.

    I took care of Mrs Betty before she moved I was just thinking about her I did not know she passed away my heart goes out to the friends and family she was such a sweet woman I loved her and her dog tiger may she rest in peace
