Betty Joe Lum was beloved at Gulf States Utilities by everyone who came in contact with her. I was one of those fortunate people. I never saw when she wasn’t friendly, empathetic and joy filled person. I never knew anyone who didn’t respect and love her. What more can be said about a well lived life. My sympathies to those people who were her closet friends and family.

So sorry to hear about Betty Joe. I went to work for GSU in 1968 in AP and she was in Payroll. She was always smiling and so sweet to everyone. Everyone loved her.

Betty Jo Lum was my neighbor, and lived two blocks from my house. Growing up around Fletcher Elementary School area. I was a paper boy before I worked for GSU and threw her paper for years before I joined GSU and saw her there. She was always sweet and had a wonderful personality, and always smiled. She treated everyone she met with respect and love. My condolences to her family ..
