Betty Marie St. Martin
Betty Marie St. Martin, 75, of Beaumont, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025. She was born July 1, 1950, in Jacksonville, to Marguerite Rae Brown and Alton Lee St. Martin.
Betty will be remembered for her gentle heart, kind spirit, and lifelong dedication to caring for others. As a nurse, she touched countless lives with her compassion and calm presence, offering comfort when it was needed most. Her work was not just a profession, it was a calling, and she carried that same kindness into every corner of her life.
Betty also had a gift for creativity and loved expressing herself through words and crafting. She delighted in making things for others, thoughtful notes, handmade gifts, and small tokens of love that reflected her generous heart. Her creativity was another way she cared for those around her, leaving behind lasting reminders of her warmth and thoughtfulness.
She had a special love for animals, especially cats. Betty’s home was often a haven for rescues from the Humane Society, and she found joy in giving them the safety and affection they deserved. Her friends and family knew that no stray ever went hungry or unloved if Betty was nearby.
Those blessed to know Betty will never forget her warmth, gentle humor, and unwavering care for others, both two-legged and four legged alike. Her legacy lives on through the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the countless animals who found a home in her heart.
She is survived by her nephew, Shawn Martin, and his wife, Natascha; great-nieces and nephews, Carter Martin, Madelyn Martin, Lorelai Sheffield, and Christian Martin; as well as her cousin, Michael, and dear friends Jan, Juanita, Barbara, and Maggy.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Marguerite St. Martin; and her sisters, Sandy McLaughlin and Nancy St. Martin.

I’m so sorry for your loss, and I wish y’all comfort and peace in the days and weeks ahead.
From: a friend from Lamar College, Orange, Texas
I have been friends with Betty for a number of years. We worked together several times and we both loved animals. Betty did have a tender heart. We both have a Cajun background, which means that we could be STUBBORN. We laughed that others might not understand, but that it was part of our heritage. We communicated daily and she will be missed. Fly high Betty and join your family and cats.
I will a.ways keep my memory of Betty. Worked with her for many years as a home health nurse and she was tireless. Always a friend. We kept in touch after I retired and she always asked about my family. Rest in peace my friend.
When I moved to Beaumont in 1984, The St. Martins were my neighbors. Betty even kept my second grader son, while I worked. They were my first friends in Bmt. I still believe God put them in my life. Rest easy Betty.
She had such a kind and compassionate heart. I will miss you sweet Betty. Love you so much. You’re in Gods arms now. 🙏🦋🙏
I knew Ms Betty when I worked at Albertsons she was a very sweet lady and she will be greatly missed
