Betty Ruth Grohn

Betty Ruth Grohn, 95, of Sour Lake, died Saturday, February 23, 2023, at Jefferson Nursing and Rehabilitation, Beaumont. She was born on August 10, 1927, to Ellen Gay Grohn and Thomas Grohn, in Sour Lake.
Survivors include her nephews, Stephen Grohn and his wife, Susan, John Grohn, James Grohn, and Dan Mark Grohn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ellen Grohn; brother, Thomas R. Grohn and his wife, Nell; nephew, Paul Grohn; brother, Dan Grohn and his wife, Rita; and niece, Christa Grohn.
Her cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Sweet was the word for Betty. I never saw her not smiling. Like Barbara, I saw her mainly at Fesco’s on Fridays for the fish lunch or at the post office. Your sweet, gentle spirit will be missed in Sour Lake.
What a sweet lady!!! She and Kay were frequent customers of my restaurant. I would personally come out of the kitchen and help her get her food. She was so special and a pleasant customer. She will be missed. RIP MS. BETTY????????????????????
I am so sorry to hear about Betty. She worked
with Ronnie and I years ago in the insurance
agency and was a delight to be around. She had so much knowledge of insurance business. God be with her????????????
