Betty Ruth Matthews
Betty Ruth Matthews, 84, of Kountze, died Thursday, October 16, 2025. She was born on August 26, 1941, in Texarkana, to Audie Mae Patterson Sanders and Fred Sanders.
Survivors include her daughter, Angela Gage and her husband, Michael, of Kountze; grandchildren, Kendra Clark of Kountze; Kayci Bach and her husband, Chris, of Groves; Allen Gage and his wife, April, of Orangefield; Zachary Gage of Houston; and Doug Gage and his wife, Minh, of Beaumont; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers, Fred Sanders, Jr. and Wayne Sanders, both of Shady Point, Oklahoma.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Audie and Fred Sanders.
Ms. Matthews cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
