Beverly Joyce Parr

September 19, 1951 - August 24, 2025

Beverly Joyce Parr, 73, of Nederland, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 19, 1951, in Longview, to Ruby Claudine Sheppard and Calvin Leon Burton.

After graduating from Nederland High School in 1969, Beverly moved to Houston, where she began her career with Exxon. It was in the spring of 1971 that she met the love of her life, Robert “Bobby” Dale Parr, when they were both applying for their ministerial credentials. As Beverly often said, “When you know, you know!” They were married on August 29, 1971, at First Assembly of God in Rosenberg.

For the next 54 years, Beverly and Bobby dedicated their lives to ministry, working together to lead people to Jesus and share God’s love. They faithfully pastored congregations for many years before retiring to continue their service in other ways.

Beverly built an impressive career with The Boeing Company, where she worked for over 20 years, advancing from Administrative Assistant to Software Technical Assistant and Data Analyst. During her tenure at Boeing, she pursued her education with determination, earning her bachelor’s degree in Business from LeTourneau University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

A gifted musician and singer, Beverly had a special calling to lead others into worship, preparing hearts to receive God’s word. She was a true worshipper, and her family finds comfort knowing she continues that worship in Heaven.

Beverly is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Robert Dale Parr; her daughter, Casey Wells; her son, Robert Parr, Jr.; her cherished grandchildren, Adrienne Hepburn and her husband, Chase, Jillian Graham and her husband, Cody, Ethan Wells and his wife Katy, Robert Parr III, Ian Parr, and Jacob Parr; her beloved great-grandchildren, Olivia Graham, Madilyn Graham, Hudson Hepburn, Calvin Wells, and Camden Hepburn; and her siblings, Raedine Wood and her husband, Ed and Buddy Burton.

Beverly was deeply loved by her family and friends, and her legacy of faith, love, and service will remain forever in the hearts of those she touched. Her family finds peace knowing that one day, she will be there to greet each of them as they walk through the pearly gates.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 29, 2025, at Church on the Rock, 6355 Highway 695, Beaumont. Mrs. Parr’s cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
