Billy Eugene Welch

Billy Eugene Welch, 71, of Beaumont, died Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on December 19, 1948, to Vertie Mae Smith Welch and Billy Edward Welch, in Beaumont. Billy was a dedicated hard worker who loved his Peterbilt trucks and enjoyed his westerns. He was loving and giving and never met a stranger and loved his family. He also loved his dogs, Sugarbaker (Sugar Booger), Bella, Marley, and Jake (from State Farm).

Survivors include his loving spouse, Karen Baker Welch; daughter, Tracie Kotz and her husband, Jason, of Beaumont; sons, Clint Welch of Beaumont and Brad Holton and his wife, Jacq, of Weatherford; sisters, Ann Bland and her husband, Fred, of Kingwood; Sharon Bryant of LaPorte; and Pat Redwine and her husband, David, of Nederland; grandchildren, Cailynn Welch, Haydn Lane, Ian Lane, Jacob Kotz, and Brody Welch; great-granddaughter, Ivy Stanford; former spouse, Theresa Welch of Nederland; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Mr. Welch will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 6, 2020, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, 618 Block Street, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

Memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
