My heart is sad for us, but so happy for Billy. He is probably fishing’ in the Crystal River, about now. I worked with him at GSU for 14 years. He was always kind and genuine. He sold me my first gun, encouraged me to be more like Paul (content wherever I am), and made me try eating gator. I loved his sense of humor. There was a diet contest going on at work and he wanted to win so badly. He told me that he was tied with another guy for the most pounds lost, and it was the day before the final weigh in. He said, “I wonder how many calories Ex-Lax has.” Hahaha. I always looked for him in his church’s booth at the Rice Festival. And I could always count on his infectious smile. He made a difference in my life, and I’m sure many others. He will certainly be missed. Heaven is just a little bit sweeter.
We are so sorry for your loss. We have great memories and love all of you so much.
