Billy Papania

March 11, 1955 - April 17, 2022

Billy Papania, 67, of Port Neches, died Sunday, April 17, 2022. He was born March 11, 1955, in Oberlin, Ohio, to Margaret Virginia Webb Papania and Leo Lucas Papania.

Billy was an LVN for fourteen years before earning his RN degree. He worked with many hospice facilities for about seven years. He enjoyed fishing in his free time and especially loved to spend time with his wife, Carol, and their family.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Papania, of Port Neches; children, William “Billy” Papania, Jr. and wife, Alex, of Huntsville and Krystal Nicole Papania, of Port Neches; grandchildren, Hunter Wade Papania and Stormi Sky Papania; sisters, Linda Villegas and husband, Leo, of Beaumont and Debbie Steele and husband, George, of Port Arthur; brother, Michael Papania, of Port Arthur; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation arrangements for Mr. Papania will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.

Memorial contributions in honor of Mr. Papania may be made to The Humane Society of Southeast Texas, 2050 Spindletop Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77705.

    Billy was my brother… I’m the oldest sibling…. I watched out for him & my other siblings growing up…. Billy had many side’s to him ‘ at times got him in trouble with dad…lol … Nothing bad ,just mischievous…. He liked to grill & it always tasted good….he liked being around people & was always the life of the party…. He loved his family & children… We will surely miss him…

    thinking back the first movie me and billy went to go see was up in smoke first of 3 concerts we went to was nazareth in 78 then heart in lake charles civic center then we went to see joe walsh oh we also went to the kareoke bar inside the bowling ally on 9th ave port arthur
