Bobbie Blue Knight

Bobbie Blue Knight, 95, of Beaumont, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Silsbee Oaks Health Care in Silsbee.

Bobbie was born on June 21, 1929, in Prairie Hill, Texas, to Alva Edson Blue and Violita Dunson Blue. Bobbie worked as a receptionist at Maris Hair Salon in Waco. Later, she worked as a salesclerk at Stein Mart in Waco. Bobbie, and her husband, “Red”, moved to Beaumont in 2003 to be closer to family. She transferred from Stein Mart in Waco to Beaumont where she worked until she retired in her eighties.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldridge “Red” Knight; one sister and two brothers.

She is survived by her son, Don Hansen and his wife, Deborah; granddaughter, Jennifer Lyons and her husband, Robert; her two special great-grandsons, Justin Lyons and Matthew Lyons, all from Beaumont; nieces, Mary Jane Voltin and Susanne Gentry, both from Waco.

Bobbie’s cremation arrangements were handled by Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
