Brenda Harrison McCorvy

March 3, 1948 - January 24, 2020

Brenda Harrison McCorvy, 71, of Beaumont, died Friday, January 24, 2020. She was born March 3, 1948, in Orange, to Aleene Powdrill Harrison and Roscoe Harrison.

Brenda worked at Gulf States Utilities for twenty-five years. In 1996, she graduated Lamar State College, Orange as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She continued her education at Lamar State College, Port Arthur and graduated in 2000 as a Registered Nurse. Brenda then worked for the federal prison through the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston for twelve years before retiring. She will be remembered for her love of her family and how she cherished her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Paul Lynn McCorvy and his wife, Alicia and Paula Gaspard, all of Nederland; grandchildren, Brittian Gaspard, Connor, Allie, and Thomas Jude McCorvy; brother, Bryant Harrison and his wife, Betty, of Tennessee; and nephews, Michael McCorvy and Patrick McCorvy and his wife, Cheri.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Aleene and Roscoe Harrison; and husband of fifty-one years, Paul Neil McCorvy.

A gathering of Mrs. McCorvy’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2020, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her graveside service will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Willow Grove Cemetery, Joaquin, Texas.
