Brian Wayne Morgan

May 31, 1984 - October 23, 2025

Brian Wayne Morgan, 41, of Port Neches, Texas, unexpectedly passed Thursday, October 23, 2025. He was born May 31, 1984, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Elizabeth Alise Maxey and Brad Wayne Morgan.

Brian graduated from Nederland High School in 2002.  After graduating, he worked various jobs but found the one he loved as a lab technician in the petrochemical industry.

Brian’s kind and loving soul will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His freely given hugs and affection brought great comfort to those who knew him. His laughter was the soundtrack for a happy day, and his infectious smile could light up a room. We will always cherish these memories, and he will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His loss is a pain that can never be filled.

His father will always cherish the memories they shared, like winning the reserved male champion with their beloved Catahoula Cur dog, “Boss,” on his very first show, where they beat a dog that had never been beaten before. Although his time with us was unfortunately cut short, the cheerful moments of his laugh and smile will continue to bring comfort and serve as a lovely reminder of the happiness he brought into his father’s life.

Brian’s love for his mother was a constant throughout his life. He was her greatest joy, and his loss was her greatest pain. To remember him is to feel joy once again. The memory of his laugh, his quick and witty sense of humor, and his loving care for her will always be a comfort to her. Even though his life was too short, his impact would be deeply missed by her.

For more than a quarter century, Brian shared a deep and loving bond with Brittany. Together, they had a beautiful life filled with love and devotion, especially for their daughter, Skylar. He will be forever missed and will always be remembered in their hearts.

Brian loved his family, but his heart belonged to Skylar. He approached fatherhood with a gentle and giving spirit. He will be profoundly missed by her, as she was the light of his life. She brought a new kind of light to his world, and while she can no longer see him, he is still forever watching her from the sky.

He leaves behind his mother, Alise Maxey Duhon; his father, Brad Morgan and wife Lesa; one daughter, Skylar Morgan, and her mother, Brittany Hight; his Aunt, Debbie Morgan Richard, and husband Reed; Aunt, Donna Morgan Ray, and husband Gary; Uncle, John Maxey, and wife Stacey; Aunt Tammy Selenga and husband Richie; step-grandmother, Laura Saunders; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Brian is preceded by his grandparents, John and Valda Maxey; his grandfather, Don Wayne Morgan; his grandmother, Edna Carter Storey; his great-grandparents, Elouise Grubb Peckham, and Charlie Peckham; and his step-grandfather, Paul Hampton.

From me to you:  I thought of you today, but that is nothing new; I thought of you yesterday and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name, all I have are memories and your picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake from which I’ll never part, GOD has you in his arms, and I have you in my heart.

I had the pleasure of being the best step-mother to Brad, Debbie and Donna that i could be under trying circumstances. Truly sorry I never met Brian.

    Kristi Hilliard says:

Although he was 41 years old, I still see those kind eyes in his picture from his days working at Novrozskys at 17!! Such a sweet , polite, hard working , and respectful young man. That’s exactly why I remember him, it was a delight to have him on my shifts bc I knew I wouldn’t have to worry about his work getting done.It sounds like his work ethic then continued throughout his life. His gentleness with Brittney around me was impressive for such a young fellow. It was easy to see why she adored him, as did I. Fifteen years at a company it’s impossible for me to remember them all unless they really made a difference. Brian did that. Love Always, Kristi Hilliard
