C. N. Robertson, Jr.

April 28, 1925 - August 5, 2021

C. N. Robertson, 96, of Winnie died August 5, 2021 at his home with his daughter, Iva at his side. He was born April 28, 1925 in Boonville, Indiana to Iva McLemore Robertson and C. N. Robertson, Sr.

C. N. enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II and served on the Pacific Front. Shortly after his discharge in May of 1946, he went to work for Mobile Refinery in Beaumont where he retired as Night Supervisor after 37 years. C. N. was a member of the Winnie chapter of the American Legion. He attended the First Baptist Church of Winnie with his daughter until declining health. He was an avid Texas Longhorn fan and enjoyed playing golf with friends and family.

Survivors include his son, Kevin Robertson and wife Diana of Beaumont and his daughter, Iva Robertson of Winnie. He is also survived by his stepdaughters, Pam Franzen and husband Jerry and Molly Copeland all of Winnie; grandchildren, Duncan Robertson of Beaumont, Callie Zinn and husband Daniel of Buna, Katie Robertson of Beaumont, Jakob Franzen of Round Rock, Jed Franzen and wife Jolie of Winnie, Lisa Rodriguez and husband David of Austin, Libby Mott of Winnie, Trini Lezak and husband Michael of Winnie, Tray Copeland of Pt. Neches; great-grandchildren, Brendan and Easton Zinn, Olivia and Juliet Dreckshage-Franzen, Barrett and wife Leslie, Trevor, Emma, Morgan, and Riley Franzen, Ben and Alex Rodriguez, Camryn Mott, Justin and wife Halee Lezak, Jarred and wife Emma Lezak, Gracie Copeland, and Audrey Copeland; and great-great-grandchildren, Parker, Asher and Bayler Lezak.

C. N. is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Maxine Courtney Robertson, great-grandson Chandler Mott, son-in-law Jim Copeland, brother Bill Robertson, sisters, Hazel McConnell, Oleta Eaton, Beatrice Lee, Bernice Dugar and Louise Hemenway.

A gathering of Mr. Robertson’s family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 9, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with a graveside service and Military Honors to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
