Carl Jay Kintner
Carl Jay Kintner, 60, of Fannett, died Monday, June 10, 2024. He was born on November 1, 1963, to Rosalie Ward Kintner and Paul Victor Kintner, Sr., in East St. Louis, Illinois.
Carl was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and Pops. He loved nothing more than spending his every second with his wife, kids, and grandkids (especially if it was in Disney World). From being a PTA dad and a seamstress for dance recital costumes to making life size wooden dinosaurs for Wyatt’s first birthday, Carl was a jack of all trades. His true passion was hot rods and restoring antique cars. He was very proud of his work and he never let anyone forget that one of his cars won first in a show. Carl’s “dad” jokes were the best. He was known for his dry humor. He loved to fill our purses with the entire basket of sweeteners, peppermints or whatever was handy. He loved to tease the family. Carl was a devoted Christian and leaned strongly on his faith in God through the many trials he faced. He was loved and adored by everyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting him and will be terribly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Kintner; children, Katelyn Lange and her husband, Michael and Allison Antich and her husband, Grady, all of Fannett; grandchildren, Wyatt Jay Fournet, Caroline Lange, and Cooper Lange; sisters, Rose Johnson and her husband, Wynn and Lynnda Castolenia and her husband, Michael; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul Kintner, Jr.
A gathering of Mr. Kintner’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2024, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.

Was so sad to hear of Carl’s passing. Always enjoyed his snow cones at Bible School. I know his Family will surely miss him. He was such a proud Grandfather. Prayers of comfort for the Family.
I grew up with Carl and he was a terrific guy! My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this trying time. I always looked up to Carl for his grit. I used him as an example of what grit really is in my 35 years of teaching!
I did not know Carl went to FP. We met when he ordered a waterslide from my company, ABC Discount Rentals. Each time Carl ordered something it was a treat to deliver because he would show me his latest paint job or car in progress.
Always thought of him as a friend and not a customer. I remember seeing him at Skip’s restaurant in Winnie. A great place to eat. I think he may have told me about it.
Prayers for all of the family. I pray the Lord will comfort you as only He can during this difficult time. 🙏🏻❤️
