This just breaks my heart. We lost touch with Carol after my sister and was old enough to stop going to Shady Oaks, however we reconnected with her once we found she was my mom’s neighbor. Not only she watched my sister and I grow up she also watched my kids gone from babies to teenagers. Carol was loved by all. She will be missed. RIP Carol

She was always at Shady Oaks every morning my dad would drop me off before school and she would always hug me sit me down in her lap and braid my hair. I have also loved her like a second mom. As an adult, I owned a shop where she would call needing bows for all her littles. For many years and here recently she would call and have me make matching bows for the girls. I went by about a month ago and would never have thought I would be attending her memorial. She will be greatly miss by many. Only she will get this…”Hunka Hunka burning love!” I would bring her Elvis mirrors from the “Hairy Vegetable” and she still has them in her closet after 40+ years. I love you Ms. Carol, rest in peace. My deepest sympathies to Mr. Ray. Ms. Carol was an amazing person.
