Carol Powell

Carol Dean Powell, 70, of Silsbee, died Sunday, July 12, 2020. She was born on November 5, 1949, in Crowley, Louisiana, to Dorothy Mae Fontenot Haire and Emory Lee Haire, Jr.

Survivors include her daughters, Talisa Parsons and her husband, Mark; Sally Stanley and her husband, Dugan, all of Silsbee; Mae Odom and her husband, David, of Kountze; and Linda Vashaw and her husband, Jonathan, of Nixa, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Roger Haire and his wife, Robin.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Lee Powell; son, Gary Powell; daughter, Patricia Smith; grandchildren, Jimmy Odom and David Vashaw; and siblings, Jimmy Haire and Frances Lowe.

A graveside service for Mrs. Powell’s family and friends will be 12:00 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Glenwood Cemetery, Groveton, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
