Carol Rawlinson

January 28, 1952 - December 10, 2020

Carol Rawlinson, 68, of Nederland, died Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Magnolia Manor, Groves. She was born January 28, 1952, in Port Arthur, to Mary Margaret Nixon Loflin and Eldridge Henry Loflin. Carol enjoyed gardening, writing poetry and essays, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Christopher Rawlinson and wife, Jessica, of Nederland; daughter, Robin Rawlinson, of Nederland; brothers, Michael Loflin and wife, Georgia, of Nederland; Mark Loflin and wife, Karen, of Thicket; and James Loflin and husband, Mike Beckman, of Houston; sister, Ann Martin and husband, Charles, of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Maddie Neely and Payton Rawlinson; and stepmother, Amanda Loflin, of Nederland.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Danny Ray Rawlinson; and sister, Brenda Pousson.

A gathering of Mrs. Rawlinson’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2020, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at Broussard’s, Nederland, with her interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

I am so sorry to here about Carol,we started school togeather at St.Charles Catholic school,and we grew up togeather in our neighborhood. Mike I am so sorry and my prayers are with you all. May God put his arms around all of you and comfort you through this. sad time.
