Carolyn Sue Russell Graham

January 1, 1951 - September 23, 2025

Carolyn Sue Russell Graham, 74, of Kountze, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025. She was born on January 1, 1951, in Port Arthur, to Mozelle Wright Russell and Cody Russell.

Carolyn worked in the Jefferson County area, serving with CPS, CASA and the Garth House. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Kountze and a devoted Sunday school teacher. After retiring she loved spending time with her grandkids. She loved sports of any kind, NCIS and onions!

Survivors include her children, Molly Elizabeth Noel and her husband, Brian, of Nederland; and James “Jim” Graham and his wife, Laura, of Kountze; grandchildren, Taylor Noel, Tanner Noel, Courtney Noel, Caroline Noel Hathaway and her husband, Ryland, James Joseph Graham, Landon Graham, and Lauren Graham; and great-grandchild, Elias Hathaway; brother, James Russell. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Graham; sisters, Ethel Holder and Sue Blagraves.

A gathering of Mrs. Graham’s family and friends will begin at 3:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 100 West Monroe Street, Kountze, under the directions of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. A private interment will be at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.

    My heart goes out to you and your families. I was so saddened to hear about the passing of your mom. It was such an honor to have her as a friend.
    She was a true servant of the Lord and a fierce advocate for the children that she worked so hard to protect while at CPS and the Garth House.
    I will always cherish the wonderful memories I have with your mom. She will be forever missed.
    May your memories sustain you during this most difficult time.
