I’m so sorry for your loss. I always found Catherine to be a breath of fresh air in our conversations and spending time together in Catholic Daughters and in bible studies. She will be greatly missed.
Very sorry to hear of Catherine’s passing. I enjoyed our conversations together during my tenure in the office at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica. She was always willing to help out with stuffing flyers in our weekly bulletins and stuffing envelopes for our many bulk mailings, in addition to her contributions to the Cathedral Ladies group and helping out with making cookies for the annual St. Joseph Altar.
God bless you all,
Mavis Fore
Danny, Shelia, and family,

So sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. She was a beautiful person inside & out. Glad we got to know her. Blessings to you & yours.
My sincere condolences to the family.
Ms. Catherine was a dear friend. Although I’ve been Catholic all my life she taught me a lot about the Catholic Church. She knew what every color vestment the priest wore represents, as well as the proper names of the different parts of the Church. I will truly miss our weekly pH chats.
RIP my dear friend.
Gail, you were truly loved by mom and she always looked forward to seeing you and Darryl.
Michael
Thanks to you and Darryl for being such good friends with mom. You were always so thoughtful and kind. Your actions were definitely noticed.
Danny
Danny Mc and family, we are in prayer for you knowing God will supply all the strength, comfort and peace you need during this time of bereavement. (FHS c/o ‘81)

catherine was one of my best friends. i know she loved me since i got the family treatment.
catherine spoke her mind, but she spoke louder through her actions.
she was always helping the marginalized.
in the 80’s i went to an annual meeting for the triangle aids network. this organization helped those with hiv when no one wanted to be around them.
every week a bus went to galveston so those in need could get treatment.
at that meeting they honored her. she wasn’t there to receive the honor, but later i asked a friend why she was honored.
she said that weekly catherine made lunches for those that were traveling to galveston for treatment. she saw the need & she helped.
i am sure not many people know this about her, but that was her.
even though she had a family take care, her husband & boys plus she worked, she was always helping someone else-acts of mercy.
i will miss her.
love & prayers for the family.

Mike,
You expressed it very well what our “mom” was all about. She spoke her mind which is OK so you new where she stood. Thank you for your prayers and friendship.

Joe & Leah, she talked about her St. Anthony days and classmates all the time. It was always a special time to see you both at church and other functions around town to have a chat. We will miss her but memories of her will be lasting.

Sympathy and prayers for the family. Catherine was my sister in Christ with Catholic Daughters Ct. St. Gerard 1938.
I loved her spirit, sense of humor and feistiness. May she rest peacefully in heaven.
Phylis, I was looking through her CDA stuff and realized how much you and her Sisters meant to her. She loved the gatherings and opportunity to be of service.

Bill and Cathy moved into their Cottonwood House, circa 1963 with their 3 children as I remember. Our, new neighbors behind our house on Magnolia. Bill was a super guy and always helped me. Cathy was strong and active, and they were a great couple.
Many, many years later, she lived alone there, and I get to visit with her. I learned she was a Title Examiner for Jefferson Title and was quite proficient at it. We shared our family activities and we complained about many of the world and local problems. She loved all of her family very much. I will miss her.
Bucky, as I came to know, you were there when Danny and I couldn’t. Your special thoughts about Mom and Dad mean a lot to me and hope others saw that in them as well.
Michael
