Catherine Rose Jordan

April 13, 1944 - June 2, 2023

Catherine Rose Jordan was born in Beaumont, Texas, on April 13, 1944, to Joseph and Annie (Orlando) Jordan. She passed away on June 2, 2023, at age 79, in Port Arthur.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her older sister, Concetta Ann Jordan. She is survived by her brother, Vincent Joseph (V.J.) Jordan of LaBelle; her nephews, Joe Jordan and his, wife, Valerie of Southlake; Richard Dale Jordan of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and her niece, Ann Bartosh and her husband, James, of Huntsville; along with numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Catherine was a life-long resident of Beaumont and worked for over 40 years for the Walgreens corporation. She was also a life-long parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Beaumont and a very devout Catholic. She enjoyed gardening, visiting with family and friends, and traveling. She also loved cats, having a good laugh, hearing or telling a good joke, was quick witted, and she especially loved anything sung by Charlie Pride! She was a very caring and thoughtful soul who cared for her sister, Connie, her mom, and her Aunt Annette during their lives. She was a very cheerful and joyous person who greeted everyone with a warm and caring smile.

She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers are Joe Jordan, James Bartosh, Joe Teneyuque, Derek Durso, Slade Durso, and Nolan Anders. Honorary pallbearers are her brother, Vincent Jordan and Eli Horn.

A gathering of Miss Jordan’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Christian Vigil at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 4445 Avenue A, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

    My condolences to Catherine’s family. ♡ She was in my brother’ W.L.McGown’s class at St. Anthony’s. Of course it was a small school so we all grew up together. ♡♡♡
