Cecil Augustus Cassity

September 1, 1930 - December 21, 2021

Cecil Augustus Cassity, 91, of Silsbee, died Tuesday, December 21, 2021.  He was born on September 1, 1930, in Long Branch, Texas, to Evelyn Jarrell Cassity and Cecil Cassity.  Mr. Cassity proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict.  After serving his country, he worked as the administrator for the Silsbee Doctor’s Hospital.

Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marjorie Cassity; and brothers, Jimmy Cassity and Bobby Cassity.

A gathering of Mr. Cassity’s family and friends will be 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His interment will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Cold Spring, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice, 2450 North Major Drive, Beaumont, Texas 77713.

    Cecil and Marjorie were such a shining example of what a beautiful and blessed union of matrimony should be like. Even as they grew older their Love for one another grew deeper. I would watch them fondly attend to one another’s needs and was fortunate enough to listen to their many examples of how to keep that Love alive for all those years. Prayers for peace and comfort to all ! Cecil you now have Miss Majorie in your arms for eternity .
