Cecile Cobble Fritz
Cecile Cobble Fritz, 80, of Silsbee, Texas, passed away on October 22, 2024. She was born in Silsbee on August 30, 1944, to Frances and Cecil Cobble.
Cecile grew up in Silsbee and was a graduate of Silsbee High School and Lon Morris College, Jacksonville, TX. She was a member of Silsbee Methodist Church. She worked at Hardin County Savings and Loan in Silsbee until moving to Houston, where she met her husband, Jerry Fritz. They moved to Grapevine, TX, where they lived until Jerry’s passing in 2011. In 2020 she returned to Silsbee to live near family.
She is survived by her brother, David Cobble, and his wife, Karen; twin sister, Carole Wills, and her husband, Jim; nieces and nephews Greg Cobble and his wife Amy, Leslie Pember and her husband Craig; Julie Preston and her husband Darin and daughter Elliott; and Carrie Krall and her husband Jason. She was loved by many great nieces and nephews.
Cecile is predeceased by her parents, her husband, her nephew James Wills, and her great nephew Matthew Cobble.
The family would like to extend sincere appreciation to Mill Creek Nursing Home for their loving and compassionate care of Cecile.
A family graveside service will be held at a later date under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.

I was so very saddened to hear about Cecile’s passing. She & her family were such a role model for me growing up. The Cobble family was so very well known in our hometown & a cornerstone of Silsbee State Bank. Please accept my condolences and prayers to David, Carole & their families during this time of loss. They were always sweet & kind to me & I’m a better person for having them in my life.

I just want you all to know how sorry we are to hear about the passing of Cecile. I have a lot of memories of mine and Tommy’s summer visits with Nanny and Papa and getting to play with you all. God bless you all. Our prayers are with you.
