Charles “Bubba” Flournoy
Charles “Bubba” David Flournoy, 89, of Sour Lake, died Sunday, March 20, 2022. He was born on September 19, 1932, in Sour Lake, to Necie Chamblee Flournoy and David Flournoy. Bubba proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Survivors include his children, Damon Flournoy of Sour Lake and Guyla Angell and her husband, Mark, of Santa Fe; grandson, Mike McCullough, III of Santa Fe; sister, Shirley Trahan of West Columbia; and nieces and nephews, Janel McAllister, Bill Trahan, Lisa Langdon, Lisa Haddock, Ginger Hood, Shellie Quinn, Deanna Simms, Chris Angeron, and Jana Fullen. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering of Bubba’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his graveside service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Sour Lake, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.

The Flournoy family was always dear to the hearts of our family, both the Allen’s and the Cobble’s. Janice, Judy, Peggy and Jim Jr are very saddened to hear of Bubba’s passing. We pray to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for the comfort of Bubba’s family.
What a nice guy, was Bubba. So pleasant to be around, I always enjoyed visiting with him around town. He will be missed by many.
