Charles Cox, Sr.

December 29, 1944 - January 17, 2022

Charles Cox, Sr., of Beaumont, died Monday, January 17, 2022. He was born December 29, 1944, in Thibodaux, Louisiana, to Marie Stevens Cox and William Cox. Charles was known as “The Battery Man”. He owned Battery Warehouse and worked for Exide Battery, Beaumont. He was a United States Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Cox, of Beaumont; sons, Charles Cox, Jr. and his wife, Vicki, of Beaumont; Tony Cox of Beaumont; Derek Cox and his wife, Patty, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Krystle, Cody, Travis, Katy, Hannah, Noah, Tyler, Alexis, Cody, Miranda, Ragan, Zoey; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Mr. Cox’s cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.

    I also worked with Charlie and Mack at the Fair\Gaylynn. Mack, a good guy too said it well.
