Charles “Curtis” Wilrycx
Curtis Wilrycx, 93, of High Island, died Saturday, November 30, 2024. He was born May 12, 1931, in Groves, Texas, to Louise Augusta Stone Wilrycx and Charlie Boyd Wilrycx.
Survivors include his daughter, Gaynell Watson and husband, Johnny; son, Curtis Dale Wilrycx; daughter, Shirlynn Montange; grandchildren, Anitra Langford, Ray Watson, and Monica Jordan; seven great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Wilrycx; sister, Myrtle Foreman; and nephew, Randy Foreman.
A gathering of Mr. Wilrycx’s family and friends will be 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His graveside service will follow at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, at High Island Cemetery, High Island.
