I first met Curly after his accident Over 20 years ago. I was a nurse at the rehab And he was my patient! I loved him and his personality from the very beginning and we have stayed friends for all these years…. I did not know he passed away and will miss him dearly…. A Good, kind, personality and a wonderful friend… I am saddened, but I do know that he loved the Lord!
I was saddened to hear about Charles passing. Growing up in Sweeny I knew him well as our two families were intertwined in many ways. PT and my Dad were lifelong friends. They worked together in the oilfields and later on the ranch my Dad worked for in Sweeny. Sybil was always so kind and generous to my sisters and myself Charles was always bigger than life to me, as he was riding his big loud motorcycle around Sweeny. He always had a smile. He kept me laughing any time I was around him. Ironically, when I opened my veterinary practice, he was my UPS delivery person, so we reconnected. I was just asking my current UPS driver if he knew anything about his whereabouts. He didn’t. He was definitely one of a kind and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Feel free to reach out to me if you want to hear some of the history and some stories about Charles and his Mom and Dad. Rdcdvm@sbcglobal.net. Ralph Cole
I went to school with Charles in Sweeny. I worked for Sybil in the flower shop when I was in junior high school. I truly loved her and she did so much for me. Loved to communicate with Charles and his crazy sense of humor. I even danced with him back in the day (whip). Good guy and lots of fun at reunions. See you later.
Charlie was a good friend in high school and a long time facebook friend. He will be happy to be in God’s hands. I will miss him…..
Charles was a longtime friend of ours and will be greatly missed. We both went to school with Charles in Sweeny.
