Charles Wayne Theriot
Charles Wayne Theriot, 82, of Buna, died Sunday, February 15, 2026. He was born on February 12, 1944, in Port Arthur, to Rose May Viator Theriot and Joseph Clyde Theriot.
Survivors include his loving wife, Debra Theriot, of Buna; children, Monica Tremont of Silsbee; and Brandi Young and her husband, Cary, of Lumberton; stepson, Allen Sonnier and his wife, Mandy, of Buna; stepdaughter, Misty Palumbo and her husband, Paul, of Lumberton; grandchildren, Charles Tremont of Silsbee; Brandon Young and his wife, Jordan, Bailey Young and Chloe Young, all of Lumberton; sister, Mary Ann Wheatley; beloved cousins; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Carol Gwyn Theriot; and brothers, Gene Theriot, Kenneth Theriot, and Tommy Theriot.
A gathering of Mr. Theriot’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His interment will follow at Franks Branch Cemetery, 21650 FM 92, Fred.

R.i.P Sweet Uncle Charlie he was the sweetest and had a good heart I will miss him so much. We had the best time when I came to stay with them or family gatherings. I will always love you see you soon.

I knew Charles from kindergarten till we graduated from SFA I lost track till we met on face book we text almost everyday he sent me bible verses and we talked on the telephone I will miss him but will see him soon.
I lost a very dear friend with the passing of Charles. He and Carol helped me through a rough time in my life. Good friends leave you with many good memories…Thanks Charlie for the memories. My condolences to all of his family.

Charlie was loved by everyone he knew! We graduated together at the same high school Stephen F. Austin. We all moved to Houston to live together and work and go to school in the late 60’s/70’s.. We had many a good times in the 70’s and 80’s. He will be missed by all who knew him ….especially me!! Rest In Peace my friend! I’ll see you on the other side!
