Charley Wayne Handlen, Sr.

Charley Wayne Handlen, Sr., 93, of Lumberton, died Friday, November 15, 2024. He was born on March 13, 1931, in Monona, Iowa, to Irene Henry Handlen and Hollis Handlen.

Mr. Handlen served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict.

Survivors include his children, Helen Nichols (James), Charley Handlen, Jr., Lee Handlen (Kim), Mary Ann Honeycutt (John), and Doug Handlen (Sue); grandchildren, Amy (James), Tina, Heather (Chris), James Jr., Cory, Stephanie (Nino), Jordan, Colin (Taylor), Darlene (Dan), George (Rosanna), Misty (Travis), Jennifer (Drew), and Jonathan; great grandchildren, Tiffany, Dylan, Robert, Ashley, Jonathon, Jacob (Chelsea), Waylon, Liam, Cassie, Isabella, Jordan Jr., Alesha (Grant), Austin, Isabella T., Maddie, Antonio, Alexander, Peyton, Kendall, Marley, Rowan, and Roland and great great grandchildren, Desiree, Jeremiah, Emmie, Jaden, Kristie, and Kai. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Darlene May Moore Handlen, daughter, Belinda Handlen, grandson, Jeremiah, and four siblings.

Mr. Handlen’s cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
