Cheryl Laverne James, 58, of Port Arthur, died Monday, December 2, 2024. She was born January 5, 1966, in Port Arthur, to Assrie Brydson DuPree and Charlie DuPree.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer James; siblings, Wayne Dupree and wife, Anita “Cookie”, and Tomika Fleming; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A gathering of Ms. James’ family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
