Cheryl Renee Nunez Jimenez

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Cheryl Renee Nunez Jimenez of Port Arthur, Texas, who left us on December 18, 2025, at the age of 74.

Cheryl was a spirited individual who took pride in her independence. A self-proclaimed “people watcher”, Cheryl was most happy riding the bus, taking long walks, or sitting on a bench in the mall observing the world with a soft smile and a thoughtful gaze.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents Winston Nunez, Sr. and Bonnie Nunez, and her two brothers, Jimmy Nunez and Brian Nunez.

She is survived by her four children, Vicki Jimenez of Alvin, Texas; Victor Jiminez of Friendswood, Texas; Christina Jimenez of League City, Texas; Christopher Nunez of Vidor, Texas; and her three grandchildren, Trinity Amador, Dorian Amador and Lucian Amador, all of League City, Texas.

She is also survived by her mother, Melva Nunez of Vidor, Texas; siblings, Jill Dupuis and husband, Gary, of Groves, Texas; Wayne Domec and wife, Terrie of Vidor, Texas; Dean Domec and wife, Michelle, of Vidor, Texas; Gene Domec and wife, Brenda, of Vidor, Texas; Craig Domec and wife, Becky, of Vidor, Texas; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

A gathering of Ms. Jimenez’s family and friends will begin at 8:30 a.m., with a Rosary recited at 9:30 a.m., and funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 29, 2025, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12^th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
