Cheryl Tyrrell

Cheryl LeAnn Tyrrell, 53, of Nederland, died Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Houston Methodist Hospital. She was born October 15, 1968, in Bremerton, Washington, to Maxine Margaret Sorensen Bjorkheim and Curtis Dale Bjorkheim.

Cheryl taught preschool in Port Arthur Independent School District. She enjoyed reading and crocheting, but most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Christopher Tyrrell and wife, Sarah, of Auburn, Michigan and Megan Klein and significant other, Randall McKenney, of Groves; grandchildren, Hailey, Myles, and “Lily” Lilliana Tyrrell, Ashlynn Okun, and Blake and Caleb Klein; half-brothers, Dennis Sorensen, of Alabama and Brian Witt and wife, Michelle, of Washington; father, Curtis Bjorkheim, of Washington; and her loving fur babies, Bella and Oscar.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Maxine and fur baby, Zoe.

Cremation arrangements for Ms. Tyrrell will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12^th Street, Nederland. A memorial service will be celebrated at a later date.
