Chester Lynn Hawkins
Chester Lynn Hawkins was called home to his Lord and savior Jesus Christ arms’ July 13, 2020, after a life full enough to have lived two. July 10, 1948, he was the first-born son to Lynn and Dorothy Hawkins, and grew up a South Park Greenie, and surrendered his life to the Lord as a member of Calvary Baptist. Throughout his youth he was an outstanding football player and participant in some infamous South Park clashes. After proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps he returned to call South Park home for over 40 years before finally settling his last 27 years in Pine Ridge, Texas.
He was an eloquent salesman driven by a zeal for life and a taste for backstrap. Words cannot describe the way Chester drew people in with his flattery, accounts of the past, or grandiose take on current events. During his early years he used that talent to sell cars at local dealerships prior to his career in the Refining Industry. Chester was blessed with 4 children and a loving partner in life who were the light in his eyes. He was never closer to God than when he was in nature, and he shared this peace with each one of his children, siblings, nieces, nephews, and all of his friends. When he was not working or attending kiddo events’ he most certainly at the deer-lease hunting or prepping for an upcoming season. Chester loved and lived for the simplicity of sitting around a campfire with a slew of friends and family.
He is survived by the love of his life, Shahnaz Daneshpayeh of Kountze; his children: son, Will Richard of San Antonio; daughter, Shireen Pirtle of Sour Lake; and daughter, Charisa Hawkins. His siblings: brother and sister-in-law, Holbert and Vicki Hawkins, sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Dale Smith; 5 grandchildren, Leyla, Courtland, Alena, Will, and Rayne, and numerous nieces, nephews. He reunited in Heaven with his parents, Lynn and Dorothy Hawkins; brother, Lester Hawkins; and son, Lynn Richard.
A memorial service for Mr. Hawkins will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 20, 2020 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive Beaumont. A family committal was held through Broussard’s Crematorium.

Probably the best friend I ever knew, I could write a book of our hunting trips, camp outs, and car selling days. I don't have words to express my feeling of loss right now. My deepest heartfelt condolences Shahnaz, Will, Shireen, Charisa, Holby, family, friends, and loved ones. I pray God gives each of you peace and comfort at this time and each day ahead.

Very sorry to hear about Chester's passing. I've known him since high school and would occasionally run into him. We'd go over past times and people we knew. I purchased a car from him at the Pontiac dealership in Orange. Great guy and you will be missed!!.
