C.P.O. Bobby Dockens U.S.C.G.(Ret’d)
C.P.O. Bobby Dockens U.S.C.G., (Ret’d), 86, of Anahuac, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021. He was born on February 10, 1935, to Nola “Irene” Sarver and John Talmadge Dockens, in Beaumont.
He is survived by daughters, Beverly Partridge and her husband, Mike, Kim Mathews; grandsons, Brent Mathews and wife Jeanette; Bennie Mathews; Brandon Mathews and his wife. Randalyn and Bryant Mathews; eighteen great-grandchildren; sister, Reva Fountain; and numerous nieces and nephews.
C.P.O. Dockens was preceded in death by his wife of twenty-eight years, Effie Dockens; sisters, Thelma Mathews; Norma “Sister” Knupple; Florence Rushlow; Jimmie Lee “GG” Chandler; and Mary Chandler; and brother, John “Sonny” Dockens.
A gathering of C.P.O. Dockens’ family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., his funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m., with Masonic Honors, Saturday, November 6, 2021, at First Baptist Church-Anahuac, 405 Magnolia Avenue South, Anahuac. His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont. Burial of C.P.O. Dockens’ cremated body will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2021, with Military Honors, at Anahuac City Cemetery, Anahuac.

Bobby was a great man who always helped everyone he could. I only knew him a few short years and my life was enhanced by knowing him. Rest in Peace Eastern Star Brother. Prayers of comfort for his family!
