Christinia loved her family more than anything and always enjoyed attending all her nieces and nephews school functions and activities. She was also a lover of art and crafts. There was never a time she didn’t have some sort of project going on. She was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Christinia was employed by the Nederland EDC from March of 2014 until her passing. She loved being a part of bringing new business to her hometown and meeting new people. Prior to the NEDC Christinia worked for State Farm for 32 years. Starting at Charles Use’s office in Nederland from 1981 until 1989; Charles Wilson from 1989 until 1995; and the Agency Field Office 1995 until 2013. During this time, she built lifelong friendships with her State Farm co-workers and always said that they were her second family.

Christinia’s love for the church, family, friends, and work will always be something everyone will carry along thru life. She had a beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and a heart the size of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Billie Jo Herrmann.

Christina was our across the street friend and neighbor for 50 plus years. Many the time we’d see her walking across the street to visit. Almost every time she’d bring a treat, my favorite was her mother’s potato salad! She was so talented, most of her life she made her own clothes and they looked like she bought them at a high end store. She loved her family beyond all things. She was so proud of her nieces and nephews, she shared them with us and we got to enjoy them thru her. She will truly be missed. Be at peace my friend, you’ve earned it.

    Diana LaBorde says:

Loyal and faithful, kind and generous. Christinia was always first to offer help with a project or to offer comfort with a personal matter. She was a big part of the success of everything we do at the Chamber of Commerce and she was a trusted and smart friend who could help me with any office issues that we would encounter. She was the best kind of friend, always there for me with a smile and good advice. Heaven just gained an amazing angel.
    Rest in Divine Peace, Christinia.

What a true friend Christinia was and i will dearly miss her. Her faith was great and she had a strong will to beat this cancer and go back to work. I will miss her big smile she gave to everyone, even when sick she had a few smiles. I will miss her very much. Prayers for her family

Our Mothers were very close friend for many years. Both of our Mommas are in Heaven now. I know they both met you as soon as you got there.
I am sitting here in disbelief, every time I would see you we always talked about the past. How we missed the good old days. I know you had a very pure heart and loved the Lord. Please give my Momma a hug from me and tell her I said thank you and I Love her.
I know when you walked through the Heavenly Gates you hear the words. WELCOME GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT.
Please keep all of us in your Prayers.
    Love David ❤️????
