Christopher “Chris” Powell, 49, of Beaumont, died Monday, March 20, 2023. He was born July 26, 1973, in Beaumont.

Christopher is survived by his wife, Tambi Powell of Beaumont; son, Kolin Powell and his girlfriend, Kaylee Steddum, of Beaumont; parents, Donna Burford and Michael Burford, of Beaumont; father, Daniel Powell of Beaumont; aunts, Debbie Lopez of China and Brenda Cromwell of Sour Lake; uncle, Kim Powell; cousins, Michelle Colledge and her husband, Jason, of Houston; Heather Waybright and her husband, Jonzack, of Sour Lake; Casey Burleson and her husband, Aaron, of Sour Lake; Brandon Cromwell of Sour Lake; in-laws, Richard and Linda Calder of Vidor; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Lisa Calder; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members; and oldest friends, Kyle Daniel of Bevil Oaks and best friend, Ozzy Flop-Flop.

He is preceded in death by Naomi Cabe, Eddie Lopez, and Dean Cromwell.

A gathering of Mr. Powell’s family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., with a time of sharing at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

    Chris was my run around buddy in hs.we got into a lot of mischief but we ment well.we grew apart and went on our ways but kept in contact from time too time.our separation was a good thing for we needed to grow up.he always made me laugh and was fun to visit with.i will miss him.love you chris
