Christy Michelle Dugas
Christy Michelle Dugas, age 47, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Throughout her journey, Christy displayed incredible courage and unwavering hope. She fought with determination and grace, inspiring everyone she knew.
Christy was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, co-worker, and most importantly, a person of faith. Not only was she a source of light to everyone around, she was known for her kindness, humor, resilience, and faith whom touched the lives of so many.
Christy is survived by her husband and best friend of thirty-three years, Kevin Dugas; children, Brittney, Maghen, Hailey, and Korbin; grandchild, Jude Monarch; mother, Laura Raleigh; father, James Raleigh; step-mother, Barbara Raleigh; brother, Chris (CJ) Raleigh; sister/step sisters, Carrie Raleigh, Rachel Smith, and Rebekah Merwin.
A gathering of Christy’s family and friends will begin at 4:00 p.m., with her memorial service at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
Christy’s strength, love, and courage will always be remembered. If anyone would like, there will be an opportunity to speak or share a story during the service.

The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside the still waters…..and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Blessings, peace and comfort for those loved ones of Kristy. The ship has stopped in Paradise.
