Chuck Kelly

May 1, 1957 - June 12, 2022

Chuck Kelly, 65, of Buna, died Sunday, June 12, 2022.  He was born on May 1, 1957, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Gene Marlene Kelly Steely and Harry Duke “Bo” Kelly.

Chuck loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed music and attending concerts with his wife.  He loved baseball and was an avid Astros fan.  He will be remembered for his love of his family and animals.  Chuck will forever remain a loving, husband, father, and Pop.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Kelly; sons, Beaux Kelly and his wife, Stacy, of Lumberton; Kevin Christopher Gomez and his wife, Ginger, of Buna; Jeremiah Kelly and his wife, Alicia, of Lumberton; and Daniel T Riley and his wife, Megan, of Prairieville, Louisiana; daughter, Stephanie Rhiannon Ellis and her husband, Justin, of Melbourne, Florida; grandchildren, Rhiannon and her husband, Justin, Ashlynn, Savannah, Wyatt, Ty, Gracie, Luke, Camille, Cooper, and Gavin; mother, Marlene Steely and her husband, Charles, of Lumberton; brothers, Charles Steely, Jr. of Tortuga, British Virgin Islands and Kip Steely and his wife, Martha, of Raleigh, North Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his father, Bo Kelly and brother, Jeff Steely.

A gathering of Chuck’s family and friends will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  His committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pam Jordan Southeast Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation, P.O. Box 845, Silsbee, Texas 77656.

    Randy and I was so upset when we read that Chuck passed away.
    I’m so happy Randy and Chuck reconnected in the past few years . Time sometimes separates friends for awhile but great friends always seems to reconnect .
